Advaneo at Green Deal Dataspace Connect 2025

Green Deal Dataspace Connect 2025 Workshop was successfully conducted and Advaneo was right in the middle of it. With more than 60 registered participants from 13 countries, the workshop clearly showed how much momentum there is around data spaces, green technologies, resilience, and sustainability – and how important it is to bring different sectors to one table.

Advaneo contributed in several key roles:

  • Jürgen Bretfeld, as Chairman of Green Deal Dataspace, opened the event with the introductory remarks and officially kicked off the workshop. He also presented the ResilienceMesh cluster, emphasizing how resilient data infrastructures can be grouped and strengthened to foster sustainable ecosystems.

  • Julien Adelberger stepped in as moderator, and guided participants through the programme and discussions. In addition, he presented the ScaleTrust project –  a project which aims to develop and establish a legally compliant and trustworthy data trustee model, forming a crucial foundation for secure, transparent, and data-driven innovation.

Throughout the workshop, participants discussed how to move from fragmented initiatives to coordinated ecosystems – especially in the context of circular economy, sustainability, and compliance. Data Spaces and collaborative data pooling emerged as central building blocks to enable trusted data sharing while maintaining data sovereignty.

For Advaneo, Green Deal Dataspace Connect 2025 was an excellent opportunity to:

  • Our data space a service development for the Green Deal Dataspace
  • Position the project ScaleTrust and cluster ResilienceMesh within the Green Deal Dataspace context
  • Exchange with organisations from different countries and sectors
  • Actively support the activation and further development of GDDS clusters

The workshop also underscored how Green Deal topics resonate internationally: sustainability and resilience challenges – and solutions – are tightly connected across industries and regions.

GDDS Connect 2025 is not the end, but a starting point for further collaboration. In the coming months, the GDDS community will deepen the dialogue with stakeholders, refine collaboration opportunities, and design follow-up formats around specific domains and use cases.
