Official start of the ScaleTrust project

We are very pleased to announce the official start of our new research project ScaleTrust (Scalable Compliance and Leadership in Ethical Trusteeship), funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with EU funds – the award notice was presented by State Secretary Judith Pirscher!

Under the consortium leadership of Advaneo GmbH, the consortium partners InfAI – Institute for Applied Informatics e. V., Saarland University, and the Green Deal Dataspace e. V. will participate. We also welcome support from additional partners: the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), Funk Group, ZENIT GmbH, the German Informatics Society (GI e.V.), 1001 Lakes Oy, and Rhine-Waal.

In the coming months, we will work intensively to sustainably establish and scale cross-sector data trustees, creating a blueprint for cross-sector data exchange in data spaces. The already active Green Deal Dataspace e. V., designed as an open ecosystem for resilience and sustainability, serves as a prototype.

A trusteeship model will be developed and tested through two use cases—calculation of the CO₂ footprint in production networks and risk management in supply chains. This model is intended to be transferable to additional application areas.
